We saw Santa Claus! This was one of my favorite things we have done lately. The Shops at Riverwoods has the most wonderful atmosphere right now with TONS of Christmas lights, free carriage rides, carolers, and outdoor fires at every corner, and of course lots of shops and restaurants. My good friend told me about all the lights and how fun it was, so of course we had to go check it out. In the middle of all the lights and shops, there sat the man in the red suit. I was expecting Brody to be a little timid around Santa, but he did so well, and was not even afraid of him one bit. He walked right up to him and sat on his lap. He even told Santa what he wanted for Christmas (Buzz Lightyear, of course) before Santa could even ask him. It was so fun to see him talking to Santa. He could not stop looking at him and touching his big white beard. He loved it!
As you can see, Jake had a totally different opinion of Santa. Not a fan!
Jake was happy again as soon as I took him away from Santa and closer to all the lights.
Brody had a couple minutes of tantrum time and decided to lay on the dirty ground. Brandon decided to join him, in an effort to make him smile. Almost worked...

Im glad you guys got to go check out Riverwoods and see Santa! That is so cute how well Brody did with Santa and how Jake hated it! Ha ha! You all look so festive in your winter clothes and all bundled up! One good lookin family! And I love that Brando got on the ground with Brody during his tantrum, I have never seen a parent do that before!
