Space Needle and Pacific Science Center

During our Christmas trip in Seattle, we took the boys downtown to do some site-seeing. It just happened to be raining on our trip to the Space Needle (big surprise), so we weren't able to see much at the top, but it was still fun to ride up the 40-second elevator ride to the top (fast!). Jake was a little restless and was in need of a nap, but Brody really enjoyed being so high up in the sky, and of course riding on Dad's shoulders.

Our little dudes holding on tight to Dad, downtown Seattle in the rain.

After the Space Needle, we went to the Pacific Science Center, which is a really cool and fun place, especially for kids. They had lots of things that kids can look at, touch, squirt, climb, etc. My favorite was the butterfly room. So cool! We walked in this huge room that was all windows with plants and trees everywhere. There were a ton of butterflies flying and just hanging out. Brody and Jake had never seen so many butterflies up close and thought this was really cool.

Near the end of our vacation, Brandon wanted to check out the lakes around town. We found a familiar lake I used to go to as a kid and a brand new park. There's nothing like water with trees surrounding it. Beautiful!
