Road Trip! Brandon and I have always talked about planning a trip to Lake Powell, and this year we did it. I had never been to Lake Powell, so I was excited to see all of the great things everyone was talking about. Brandon was able to find a great house that we rented in Page, AZ with a great view of the lake from the backyard. We invited my sister, Lindsey, and her cute daughter Kayla, my brother Spencer and his girlfriend Raquel, and Brandon's parents, Craig and Norma Jean to keep us all in line :) The lake was gorgeous! The water was 80 degrees and clear and the scenery was amazing with all of the rocks and cliffs surrounding the water. We packed up the boat each morning with all of our gear, food, and a ton of sunscreen and headed off to the lake. After a short drive in the boat, we found the perfect spot with a beach where we anchored the boat and ate lunch and just played in the water. This was pretty much our schedule the whole time we were there. It was a great vacation! The boys did pretty well on the trip, except for a couple meltdowns, but traveling with young kids I think that is to be expected. They absolutely loved swimming and playing on the beach. I was a little worried that they would get sunburned from being in so much sun, but I covered them pretty good each day in sunscreen and they didn't get sunburned at all. Yay! Brody kept reminding me that we were on vacation and that he really likes going on vacation. The boys loved playing with their older cousin, Kayla, and found lots of tiny lizards in the rocks at the house. This trip was definitely a good time and we are already planning next year's trip.
